Word for Today: New Standard
“…without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14b
If we desire to see transformation and revival, a new standard or rather, a return to standards is imperative. God is challenging His people to return to a life that lives by standards, God’s standard for God is our standard.
Somewhere along the way, man-made standards, rules and practices have made its’ way into our lives, churches and homes. We have compromised in the name of “grace” and “free-will.” There must be a return to a holy and godly standard.
Would you be bold enough to ask God to take inventory of your life? Give Him permission to point out any area that is not living submissively and fully to His standard. God is seeking a people who understand His principles and live by them. Will you be the one to stand up and allow God to live His standard through you?
Prayer: Dear Father, I humble myself before you and ask for your forgiveness for where I have lived out of my own standard and not yours. I give you permission to realign everything in my life that does not measure up and does not declare a life of holiness and purity before you. Help us dear Father. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
