Word: Receive, Respond (Thurs. 4/2)
“You are the light of the world…Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14,16
The Light of the World has stepped into our world and into our lives. The moment we received Christ, we became light because the Light of the World has entered into our life. We shine because His light shines forth from within us. We ARE the light of the world because Christ lives in us.
God is challenging His people to simply be a conduit of that light – which is God Himself. May God help us to allow the light within us to shine forth that all men may see and praise our Father in heaven. Respond to The Light by allowing it to permeate from your life into the lives of those around. We have received much from God. Let’s respond to The Light by yielding and allowing Him to shine in and through us. You shine because of Christ!
Prayer: Dear Father, I praise you because you shine forth into the dark places of my soul which gives me hope. I surrender today and allow Your Light to come forth from my life to a hurting and dying world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
