Word for Today: More Than...

“…for you O LORD, help and comfort me.” Psalm 86:17b

God is the God of more than enough. He is not just enough but He is MORE than enough just because He is God.

Whatever you are facing or trusting God for, believe and know that He is enough. His essence and His very nature is enough.

May God help us to move from merely being result and situational driven people in our view of God’s ability to aid us and begin to ask the Holy Spirit to renew our minds to the truth that He is simply able because of who He is and not just for what He can do. His character is unchanging and is not affected by our circumstances.

Consider this question: If God is able and capable of doing all things, why is proactively waiting, pushing in prayer and actively trusting God needed? It's all about the relationship. He wants to

move us to a place where we KNOW the Able God because we desire that intimate relationship first and foremost as oppose to getting to know Him as the means to receive the works of the hand of the Able God.

God is able. He is more than enough. He needs not to justify our prove Himself to us as such, He has been waiting for His creation to acknowledge that indeed He is more than enough.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for your unchanging character. Thank you for you are God and God alone. You are not bound by any circumstance or situation for you are the God of that circumstance and situation. I bless you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
