belonging

Deep inside every soul there is a deep longing to belonging. We were all created with this desire and need - this emptiness to belong, to be loved, accepted and received -- just the way that we are and for who we are. What great satisfaction for the soul. We are all on a search.

Some will attempt to find that belonging, acceptance, love and satisfaction in the things they do, status they can acclaim, worldly possessions and titles to their name. Others may move from one relationship to another and make unhealthy attachments as they rely and depend on someone for their happiness and love. Others may bury their heads in the books in hopes of gaining greater knowledge which would then hopefully yield a big salary and all the earthly things money can buy. And others may sit on the sidelines hoping someone would feel sorry for them and eventually take them in, clean them up and make them their friend.

Whatever your story may look like, one resounding common thread, we do it all in hopes of finally feeling that sense of belonging and acceptance. We do these things so that perhaps someone would notice us and befriend us. We all need love. Why else would we be created as humans with the great capacity to feel with emotions, communicate in writing, verbally and body language, comphrehend, analyze and so much more?

In all of the attempts this world has to offer, it could provide a result, but not a long lasting, deep in your soul satisfying result. Only the love of Jesus Christ and a personal relationship with God the Father could ever yield the result our souls desire and often ache for. First things first, get into a relationship with Jesus Christ and all of those things you once attempted to be your source, will soon become secondary as it adds extra flavor to the great and most important ingredient -- God.
