ready

I was yet again reminded at work yesterday after the "abrupt" reassignment of a coworker to a different team the need to be ready. When I mean abrupt, I really mean abrupt. No one had a clue what was happening - it all transpired within a few minutes.

A few reminders:

1. Live, organize, maximize your life and current season in such a way that at any moment's notice God says "go," you can quickly go.
2. As leaders, we need to invest, teach and build up future people to take over and serve in our current roles. You do not want to find yourself in a position where you are called and the people remaining are left clueless or must "start-over" because we failed to share the journey.

In all things, it should be seamless --

Jesus has the perfect leadership model. He invested and taught a few who were then able to carry on the work soon after He ascended to heaven.

I am a firm believer of always being ready. Of course you never go into a job or place hoping to leave or plan to leave but always be ready if the time comes.
