the start

My church is preparing the start of a FULL weekend. We pray it is nothing of us and ALL of God. We are hosting the annual Revival Conference. The theme for this year is "Fresh Oil, New Wine."

God has been preparing and positioning all things, may His people be ready to receive and transfer to the world what He has predestined.

I am not really sure of what to expect other than God will do a great work. God loves the element of surprise - He loves the fact that we have no clue of how the details and specifics will look but wanting us on the edge of our seats watching intently and begging for more of Him. He desires that we have an anticipation of something great but don't think you can box God by assuming He will do this or do that. He'll show you who is the boss! I love it!

Every year going into these conferences, the enemy prowls and the attacks increase. Praise God over the years God has opened our eyes to the schemes and as a result, the defense tactics to wage against those attacks before they happen and definitely before they take our people down for the count. The enemy is not that smart -- for real! Praise the Lord!

This weekend will mark the "start" of many things for many people but NEVER the start of God or the things of God. God has long existed and His plans have always been in place before the foundations of time. His eyes have been roaming the earth looking for a people in whom to entrust His glory. Could it be us? Would it be us? Surely I pray so.

May this weekend be many things but above all, all about Jesus. May the Name, Fame and Glory of our Righteous and all-deserving King be magnified so that ALL will know, truly their is a God.

Lord, we choose to be a people who desire to return honor to your name, to the pulpit and to your Bride - the Church. May it start with me, in and through my life.

Won't get to see much of my husband but that's alright. It's all part of the package :)
