something stirring...

1. May we, especially pastors and leaders know God as Abba Father. There is no greater reliance and dependence -- humility than a child and a Daddy. What great source of power. In my opinion, this is increasingly difficult for us among the Asian community and especially for those in my parents generation. The culture difference coupled with the lack of this example in their own upbringing can make it a challenge to break this barrier in mindsets to truly see God as such. God is not just God, though He is, but even more, He is Abba Father, Daddy. It is for a relationship He saved us. It is so we could be in a family He reconciled -- so the children can be reunited with the Father.

I believe Asians are among the most gifted and as a result, the most dangerous for the Kingdom of darkness if we can get past some our of our culture "lacking" and embrace all that which is of God. Whew, what great things could happen. What great transformation and refreshment in lives and our Asian churches. Lord, breakdown the walls that keep your people from seeing you as Abba Father, Daddy and themselves as a child.

2. Ps. Tony Barnett said it best and something to this affect: we have lots of conferences that teach about getting the anointing to us, let's have conferences that teach about getting it through us -- to the people. May we remember it is all about lost souls, salvation. Somewhere along the way, have our churches forgotten the reason why the church exists?
