Word for Today: Worth

“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18

You are more valuable than the “work” you produce. You are worth SO much more than what you do, even if it is work for the Kingdom. What you do for the Kingdom of God does not determine your worth because God has already deemed you more worthy than the rest because of this truth, you are His beloved son and daughter. You are the apple of His eye!

During such a time as this, know that you know until it seeps into the marrow of your bones that you are worthy because of who His Son says you are and never for what you do. What you “do” is an overflow of your realization of the goodness of the Father surging through your body and the only way your body knows how to respond is to do something to express that goodness and gratitude.

God knows you are worth more than what you do and even the very value to which you would place on your own worth. No title, status, recognition or duty can compare to the treasure of you knowing who you are in Christ, for that is the greatest position of all.

Go about today being renewed and strengthened that you are worth it – so much more than any of the greatest of great things you could “do” simply because you are His.

Prayer: Dear Father, I belong to you. You deem me worthy and worth it because I am your son and daughter. There is no greater calling and worth than being called the child of the King most High. I rest in the greatest position and honor, your child. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
