Word for Today: Provider

“…put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment…” I Timothy 6:17b

God is a Provider for He is our Provider.

When we think of the word “provider,” many have a tendency to limit that term within the realm of a physical provision only. While yes He provides for our daily physical needs such as food, a job, clothes and a roof over our head, God is so much more than just a provider in that context. He provides for our spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs. And here is an added bonus just because He is good. His provisions are always precise and right on time!

God provides healing for He is the Healer. God provides love because He is love. God provides redemption because He is the Redeemer. He provides mercy because He is Merciful and deliverance because He is the Deliver. God provides opportunities that grow us in wisdom and provides a way out to protect us from the trap of the enemy. The list goes on and on because God is an Infinite God – there is no beginning and no end to Him. Therefore, there is no end and no limit to His provisions! Hallelujah!

Understand and claim this truth today, God is able and capable of providing in every situation. What confidence do we have of this? Because God Himself IS The Provider, and The Provider Himself has been made available to us by the Cross. If we have God, we have everything. Your needs will always be met. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for the powerful reminder that has transformed my mind and the way I live by understanding that You are my Provider. You provide because you provide yourself and have made yourself available to me. I hope and put my confidence in you and you alone. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
