Word: Justice (4/29)

“For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:14

God is a God of justice. He is fair and just. Allow God to be God and release and surrender your right to be judge.

The enemy wants you to loose your peace by consuming yourself with demanding answers for the “why” and “how” to some of life’s pains and hurts. The reality is this, in some situations we may never understand the “why” and “how.” We may never get that apology or understand why someone would inflict such pain upon us. We live in a fallen world but take heart, our God is a Holy and Just God. So how do we move on in peace and joy when we don’t get answers that “release” us? When we remember, acknowledge and declare the Truth that God is still God. All men must stand before God and give an account.

You will be at peace when you relinquish your right to punish someone for how they have wronged or hurt you. In this lifetime some may go “unpunished” but no one can escape the Almighty God in all of eternity. Release your right to be right and let vengeance and judgment be God’s and God alone. He is the only one fitting for such a great task. Our job is to keep our eyes fixed on Him and follow His ways. See to it that you live an honorable life before Him.

Prayer: Dear Father, You are a Holy and Righteous God. I find great peace in knowing that you are God and that you will judge all men and their wicked deeds. I am also humbled and fearful before you because you will judge all men for their deeds. Help me to live a life that is honorable and right before you. Thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ that covers me though I am still called to live a life of holiness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
