Word for Today: Fair
“But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.” Matthew 19:30
God is a fair and just God. Nothing goes unnoticed by the King of all kings. Your time will come; do not grow faint in the wait. Continue to work out your salvation with great zeal and passion and serve the Body of Christ just as Jesus served while on earth.
It is easy to look around and feel forgotten and overlooked by people and perhaps even God. Do not be anxious and forfeit your FULL blessing by forgetting that God is a fair and just God. He will honor you and make things right as you continue to walk in obedience and love for Him. Remember, you have already received the greatest reward, God the Father Himself through a personal relationship.
I love the New Living Translation (NIV), “But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.” Walk in confidence and great expectation knowing that God is setting things up perfectly and at the appointed time, He will make all things known. God loves the “wow” factor. He is slow-cooking and marinating that blessing and once revealed, all will see how great is our God for the Glory of His Son Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Dear Father, I joyfully hope in your promise and your Word that says that the “first shall be last and many who are last will be first.” I am not anxious and envious but I confidently wait on your perfect timing. My life offering and sacrifice is not in vain and it does not go unnoticed by You for it is for You that I do all things. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
