year of....

This is a year of love - supernatural love. The type of love that brings healing-spiritual, physical, emotional and mental. The type of love that saves, reconciles, redeems, restores, delivers, sets free, releases into destinies, breaks strongholds and ultimately, points people to their Savior.

God is desiring to deepen our capacity to love, especially those difficult, hard and even the ones who have wounded and hurt us.

At one point in our life or another, we may experience a desert/winter season. One of God's intention during this season is to help us dig deeper roots within our inner core as we allow Him to show us how great is His love towards us when He carries us through that season. Praise God for winter/desert seasons, for in those times, another dimension of God's sovereignty and goodness is unlayered. How often we rob ourselves of His sweet face when we pull out before He finishes His work. How we miss out when we withdraw our love from someone whom we have written off as "unloveable" or removed ourselves from people who have wounded us for fear they will do it again.

God is not asking us to do something He hasn't provided a means for. He has provided Himself. We are to be so consumed with the love of God (God Himself) that we would supernaturally overflow into all of those around.

If it is not for love, in love and with love, what's the point? Love is a language that everyone speaks. God is wanting us to speak His language by allowing Him to love through us. So if you find yourself "suddenly" surrounded by the most challenging and difficult people or in circumstances that make you just want to pull your hair out and scream, press on....in love. God is getting ready to show you another dimension of Himself and dig a deeper capacity within you to receive what He desires to pour forth.

Remember, in all things it is for love because God is Love. Without love and mercy smack dab in the middle, what's the real purpose of it all?
