Word for Today: Keep Going!

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

Our journey in Christ is like a marathon. Pace yourself, take a water break, rest for a brief moment if needed, soak in the encouragement of the onlookers but whatever you do, keep going! Don’t give up and don’t grow faint, keep going. God is rooting for you!

Praise God for He has provided everything we need to finish the race. He has provided Himself, His Word, the Body of Christ and the local church. Even more, God has provided all authority and power through His Son Jesus Christ to each individual who is IN Christ so that we would stand.

Our life in Christ requires our participation. Resolve to keep going by making it a personal decision. Daily exercise your authority in Christ and put into practice the things you have been taught when you were still a “baby” in Christ.

God will give us the strength to continue the race as we get with God and do our part. Keep going and don’t give up. You have everything you need if you are IN Christ. It’s your decision. Someone is counting on your faith to bring them into salvation or to spur them on towards Christ. Keep going, it’s so worth it.

Prayer: Dear Father, Thank you for providing every means to help me complete the race and the tasks you have given to me this day. Help me to do my part and to exercise my will in submission to your ways. I want to be spiritually mature because there are many who have yet to know you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
