Word: Vision (5/7)

“For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.” II Samuel 7:21

God gives purpose and meaning to our life. He has predestined His creation for a great purpose and a great work. Our job is to ask God and to walk day by day with Him as He makes the greatness of all He desires to come forth.

Today, ask God for a revelation, a vision for your life. Scripture says without vision men cast restraint (or perish). If you find yourself discouraged, frustrated or feel as if you are spinning your wheels and not seeming to gain any new “ground,” have you intentionally asked the All-Knowing God for a glimpse of His vision for your life and sat long enough to hear Him speak?

If you have asked Him once upon a time ago for a vision and He has revealed bits and pieces but you still feel the image is fuzzy, ask God to renew the vision. And then wait as He formulates it together in His perfect timing.

My prayer is that your eyes would be open to the revelation of what God has been doing before the foundations of time with you in mind! And that you would find sweet joy and peace in being still. Sit long, quiet and still enough until you catch what God is saying. He speaks, He’s waiting on us to slow down and catch it.

Prayer: Dear Father, I praise you because you are a God who speaks and gives direction to your children. You enjoy the seek and find love relationship as I simply quiet myself before you to behold your beauty and goodness. Help me Father to trust you and to be still to hear you. Please grant me a clear vision for my life that I may be hopeful in all seasons. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
