Word for Today: Keep Going
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" Corinthians 2:9
If you have been experiencing the mighty hand of God and your spirit feels as if it is getting ready to lunge from chest, well hold on cause it is just getting started. You ain't seen nothing yet! Halleluiah and give praise to the Giver of all good things!
What an awesome and great privilege we have to bear witness and participate in what God has been preparing in the heavenlies for all of eternity. Does that thought alone not rock your world? It is also a humbling reminder of how BIG and Everlasting our God has been from the foundations of time to this very point in history – truly there is no beginning or end to our God. And in the very same breath, what a great task and important commission we have been given by the Creator to which we should not take lightly. God is challenging His people today to keep going. Whatever the cost, please keep going.
Don't ever think for one minute that you don't have a part or play a role in what God is doing in shaping lives and transforming our world. Every person you encounter and cross paths with, you are bearing witness and speaking a message. My future children are counting on you to keep running so they can worship God freely and know what it is to live in a country that is "under God." You have a vital role. You count. You matter. You may not see the fullness of what you do in your generation, but care enough to keep going for the future generations to come or even greater, keep running for the sake of your family's salvation. Someone is counting on you to do your part. Whatever you do, keep going, don't give up and give in, just keep going and possess your full inheritance IN Christ – your destiny. Truly our God will be so worth the fight. He is.
God could have chosen the trees, rocks or any of His other creation to shout forth His fame and glory. But He chose His most prized creation, His beloved, His very own image – you and I. Why? I think because we have the capacity to love and respond to Him. He simply adores you and wants your friendship and love. Whatever you face today, look up to your Savior and keep going! Keep going.
Dear Father, You are up to amazing and great things. I look forward to all that you are getting ready to unfold. I also understand that there is a real enemy who wants to discourage me and stop me short of my destiny. Give me strength to keep going and to keep my eyes fixed on You. I love you, In Jesus' Name, Amen.
