Word for Today: In The Name

It is time to rise up and fight. Halleluiah for Christ has won The Ultimate Battle for us over sin and eternal death at the Cross. We praise God for ultimate Victory is already ours by faith. However, because we still live in a fallen world, we still face a present day battle which requires us to stand up and fight. The battle we wage against is not against flesh and blood – forces we can "see" with our natural eye but according to Ephesians 6:12, we wage war against "…spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." My brothers and sisters, God is reminding His people to stand strong, to get up and fight back.
For too long the enemy has slapped us around and stolen from us, today God is saying, "no more." God has provided every means and prepared everything possible for us to fight our battle. It is time we as individuals rise up and resolve to take ownership and fight our own battle knowing that God will go with us.
Don't simply pray for a deliverance or a removal of your difficult situation in a "defensive" approach. We are on the winning side! Bring your game and get your praise on. The issue is not whether we are in a battle because we are. The issue is how we choose to fight this battle. Use the most powerful weapon God has already given us and that is the authority to use His very own Name. The most powerful name. Also, God created all things with a spoken word and in the same way, with our spoken word, we can wage war. Nothing is more powerful and destructive to the kingdom of darkness than when the people of God declare the Word of God out loud, praise and worship to the Almighty King of all Kings!
We don't fight with our own ability and strength, that will not get us anywhere. We fight in the authority as Sons and Daughters and the Truth we have been given through God's written Word. Use what God has given into our hand to win this battle. Defeat is not your portion. Don't give into the enemy by the utterance of your words. Choose to speak of God's character, His power and promises and watch the enemy flee because nothing can stand against the Almighty God! Tell the enemy today whose your Daddy!
Prayer: Dear Lord, as I look around signs of the end times are all around but I will not fear because I know how the story ends. Help me to stand strong and to not barely survive through the attacks of the enemy but to soar and to gain ground for the Kingdom of God by the way I choose to wage war. I rely on the work of the Cross and the most powerful weapon, the beautiful and powerful name of Jesus Christ. By the authority given to me as a child of God, I am victorious. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
