Word for Today: Start-Up
“This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
Happy New Year!! What a blessing to have lived another year and even greater the blessing of belonging to the King most high!
Praise God for everyday we have in the Lord is a new day and a new moment to start-up or start-again. For many people, New Years’ day “officially” marks newness or gives liberty for one to begin again or make changes. That’s great and all but halleluiah for in Christ we are not limited to waiting once a year to start again but every moment is a new moment as we choose to make it as such. God is not limited by the close of one year and the beginning of another. Our God is mighty and powerful and extends beyond days, months and years for He holds all things together.
As we “officially” kick off this New Year, be encouraged that every day is a new day and every moment is an opportunity to start up or start again. Wherever you are found today, take heart for our God is a God of abundance and He specializes in making things new. It is never too late to start-up, just get up and get moving.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I praise you for you hold all things together and regardless of what I have done or how I have “failed,” every second of everyday is an opportunity for me to start again. Praise you for nothing is lost in your hands. Help me to start-up, start-again or to just continue at what is before me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
