Word for Today: Behold

“but Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart and thought about them often.” Luke 2:19

To gaze upon such Beauty. To stand in silence before Greatness. To marvel at Awesomeness. To bow down in worship to the King of all kings is to behold God Almighty.

Behold today the King of Glory in all of His splendor. From His heavenly throne to the manger in Bethlehem all for the Cross at Calvary that He may be resurrected, ascended and glorified. Behold what great love displayed for you and I.

May God help us to take a moment to behold – behold all that is pure, all that is great, all of Jesus and say, “surely He is great beyond comprehension and what beauty beyond description!”

Prayer: Dear Father, I slow down and quiet myself long enough to simply behold. To behold the beauty of your face and the work of your hand. You are too wonderful for me not to stop an behold. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
