Word for Today: Hold
“I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn’t like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27 (NLT)
Hold your peace today. And in holding your peace, it requires holding your tongue from speaking the things of the flesh in your moment of weakness. But rather, use your tongue to pronounce life, blessing and peace over your body and situation. Declare peace in the midst of your chaos!
So regardless of all that is on your plate, the circumstance you face, the loneliness of the midnight hour or what appears to be the hopelessness of your situation, hold your peace. For just a little while longer, He’ll come to your rescue. May the Prince of Peace comfort and calm your soul, spirit and situation.
Hold your peace as you hold onto the Prince of Peace.
Prayer: Dear Father, You are my prince of peace. When chaos, confusion and uncertainty loom around, you keep my soul at peace. Thank you for I have peace because you are the Prince of Peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
