Word: Getting Prepared (Mon. 11/2)
“Prepare a pathway for the Lord’s coming!” Matthew 3:3a
There is a feeling of urgency and expectancy in the air. I can feel it, sense it and taste it with every fiber of my being. I believe God is wanting to prepare and position His people for the promised greater outpouring of His anointing for the work of the Kingdom. Get ready to reap a great harvest BUT we must be prepared and ready.
Today, ask God to help you take inventory of your life. May the Holy Spirit bring to your attention things that need to be closed out so that you may step into the new things He has been preparing for us. Do you have any outstanding projects, unfinished business or anything of the likes that are lingering? If so, then get to it. If you have committed to something, finish well or begin to close out those commitments and make it clear to your leadership. If God has given you an idea or revelation and you are still sitting on it, may He give feet to those ideas or boldness to pass the information along to the person who is able and the discernment to know which to do. If you have emotional ties and issues of the heart, may you yield to the Healers’ Hand and allow Him to complete the surgery He has been doing on your heart so that you would be made whole to live. Whatever it may be, let it be and finish it out.
Begin to simplify, clear out and make room in preparation for what God is desiring to do. Prepare the way for the King of Glory! And what great honor we have been given to be His hands and feet.
Prayer: Dear Father, Help me to have diligence to complete all that is before me and direction to know the steps I need to take. I thank you for the new things you are wanting to do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
