Word: Love Binds (Wed. 3/25)

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity”
Colossians 3:13-14

Love holds and love binds. It is the governing component that holds all things and people together and it is also the glue that re-connects and mends all things and people together. It is for love that God sent His one and only Son to mend our state of brokenness that we may be re-united with our Father. God sent love out for us so that He can love through us to a broken world. How are you loving the broken and lost world? And even greater, how are you loving your fellow brethen?

Love, love, love – it is all for love. God is challenging His people to love as He loves. He desires for us to receive, soak, bathe, bask, envelope and submerge ourselves so deep in His love to the point where we begin to love others through His love in us. If God allows challenging people and circumstances to come your way, take heart. He is unpacking and unlayering another depth and dimension of His love for you to develop in you a greater capacity of love to love. Love binds and love holds. May He help us today to receive His great love that we may flow in love to those around.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank-you for your love that has rescued my soul and His given me new life and a new purpose. Continue to reveal to me different layers of your love that I may be able to love those around me as you love them. Develop in me a greater capacity to love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
