Word for Today: Full Circle

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6

Our God is a God of completion. What comfort and joy to know that He finishes what He starts and indeed the final masterpiece is exquisite and marvelous! Our God is also an abundant God and in His abundance, not only does He bring completion but FULL completion. What a generously overflowing God!

Be reminded that God has always been at work. The moment we came to Christ was not the moment He began His work, it was the moment we joined Him in His grand masterpiece. The challenge today is for us to join God in what He is doing so we may be properly positioned for Him to complete the “good work” He has begun within us.

God thinks for every detail and leaves nothing to chance. In the same way, He knows the plans He has for our lives and He desires to complete it to the FULL as soon as we get with His “program.” If there are things God has directed you to do and you haven’t quite gotten around to it yet, do it. If there is an area of sin or perhaps bitterness/unforgiveness that has not been resolved, deal with it. God loves us entirely too much to allow us to simply hide from one season to the next. It is His desire for us to have great success in Him and indeed He sets us up for success and longevity by instructing us to deal with the former things. God does this because He wants us to fully move forward and soar in every season, to keep going full force ahead.

God is beckoning us to complete that very thing He has been gently reminding and tugging on our hearts so He can bring FULL completion to our current season that we may be fully released into the next. Praise God for His love and provision. He already completes us from the inside out so that we ARE able to carry out the completed work of the cross.

Prayer: Dear Father, I desire for you to complete the work you have begun in me in this season that I may continue to move from glory to glory in every season. Help me to continually resolve things before me that I may live in freedom without anything weighing me down or pulling me back. I trust in your generous grace and the powerful work of the Cross. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
