Word: Sold Out (Mon. 3/9)

“For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever…the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.” Psalm 37:28a-29

God desires a people who are sold out to Him and not just to the things of Him.

Living a life that is “sold-out” to Christ is forsaking all others and living an undivided, unadulterated and purposeful life towards Christ alone. If you are willing, He is faithful to give you the grace and strength to live completely for Him, unto Him. Living a sold out life begins with a decision of the heart.

The book of Psalm is full of God’s promises and reminders that the faithful and those wholly devoted and committed to God alone do not go unnoticed by the Father. God sees those who faithfully wait upon Him and not just for the things of Him. In the great days of harvest before us, God is seeking for a people who are sold out to Him and to the cause of the Father, redemption of His Creation (mankind). God is looking for those to use who are sold out to His Glory, His Name and His Fame, not our own.

Are you sold out to God or just to the things of God? Do you desire His blessing more than His friendship? Wherever you are in the spectrum of that question, be encouraged that our Father is patient and kind in all of His ways the moment we choose to turn towards Him.

Surely we don’t want blessings but we want God! May that truly be the cry our heart and if it is such, God is faithful to His Word that you will stand upon you inheritance - for the great glory of God!

Prayer: Lord you are the One I live for and I desire nothing and no one but you. Thank you for truly being worth me living a “sold out” life for. I resolve to live for you alone. And as David says, please give me an undivided heart for the things of you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
