Family Bible Study

We had a great family bible study last night - the yellow room :)

Every Monday night from 9pm to 10pm - it is Family Bible Study time so don't call!! Or call but we won't pick up :) Maybe we will call back but you know, my husband is nortorious for NOT checking voicemessages.

After 3 years & some odd months of being married, my husband & I have finally been able to "nail" down some sort of a structured family bible study - tailored fit for our family, our needs, our schedule, our ministry. Praise the Lord!! We had been praying for quite some time & in the process have tried so many different "formats," books, studies, & audio tapes but found ourselves often times more overwelmed & stressed than enriched and blessed. Something obviously was not working.

Until one evening after a dinner at a church family's house, as if a lightbulb went off. Our family structure is very different from many "typical" families. We needed to ask God to give us something that complimented our life schedule, our ministry, our personal ministry, our full time jobs, our desires & goals.

Praise God. On Monday nights we are simply sharing & discecting Sunday's message as a family. It is going great - no "extra" stuff we have to do that was acutally causing more stress b/c it was one more thing to add to the list. We praise God for this format. It helps us to connect as a family, share what God is teaching & actually put into practice the very thing we learned that Sunday! Praise the Lord.
