Word: Not Popular (Thurs. 9/3)

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Living a life set apart, consecrated and holy unto God and God alone does not always win the approval and applauses of man. But hallelujah for we live for the approval and applause of one man – The Man, God.

If we desire and long to see true transformation which changes neighborhoods, communities, societies, cities, states, our country and the world, we must actively live differently than the rest. We must live lives that are above reproach and even to a higher standard than those around us. We must be distinctly different which often times require us to say “no” or choose to not exercise our “freedom” lest we cause someone to stumble or lessen our ministry.

The walk is not always popular and the cost often times requires more “sacrifice” than perhaps your fellow brother or sister but it is worth it. It is worth the cost for He is worthy and the harvest will make it all worth wild. Perhaps you may not be the most popular person according to the world’s standard or even among your circle of Christian friends, but I would much rather be called faithful and obedient by God Almighty than receive any praises of man anyday.

Prayer: Dear Father, I live to honor you and to reflect everything that is of your character. Help me to live a holy and pure life – set apart for your Kingdom work. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
