Word for Today: His Heartbeat
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
It’s all about souls – soul winning. In ALL that we do in the Lord and all that we are trusting and waiting on God for, it boils down to this one sole purpose, winning souls and returning hearts to the Father. God’s great love sent His Holy and Precious Son Jesus Christ to bridge the gap so that no one may perish. The Father’s heart has always been towards the lost and wayward hearts. May God help us today and remind us that it is all about drawing people into a personal relationship with God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ. Because once they encounter the Lord Almighty, true transformation will supernaturally occur.
There is no greater calling and purpose than changing someone’s destiny for all of eternity – literally snatching them from hell and leading them into His glorious and marvelous light. And how God chooses to use you to accomplish the Great Commission is simply His divine creativity and distinct flavor at work in your life!
Praise God for He will allow us to do great things for Him and to experience great feats- He is a God of double portion – the Abundant God. But may we be reminded today as we cry out to God for revival, as we fight the good fight of faith and travail in prayer for our destiny, let us not forget the very heartbeat of why we do what we do, winning souls – lost souls. May our heart beat for what His heart beats for, the lost.
Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for loving me and by which that love has saved my soul. Thank you for sending someone to witness to me and for that person’s obedience which has allowed me to be where I am today. May I remember that people are perishing everyday without salvation. Rend my heart and break it for the things that break your heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
