Word for Today: Harvest
“As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” II Corinthians 6:1-2
The time is now. The window of opportunity has been opened. May God give us eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts broken for the things that breaks His heart and a yielded spirit in tune with the Holy Spirit to maximize this opportune time. Be alert, stay on guard, do not lose heart, be not distracted by the things of this world but fixed continually on Him and reminded of the reason He rescued your soul. Your life is not your own to do as you please. He saved you for a great purpose – His purpose to be His ambassador to a lost world. Stay connected to Him – in love and in His word. And be ready to reap the great harvest God has been preparing for all of time.
Today is the day of salvation. We are stepping into a time of great harvest, may God help us to be diligent, vigilant and fixed on the things above. Let nothing move you but the love of Christ that compels us to move and have our being.
Someone is counting on you to do your part that would forever change their destiny – for all of eternity. Just as you have received, let it freely flow from your life -- continue the flow of His salvation.
Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for reminding me the reality of what this life is truly all about – salvation. The harvest time is now. Please help me to be diligent and proactive in moving forward and working out my salvation sharing the grace and love that rescued my soul to a dying world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
