Word for Today: Pilgrimage
“Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage…they go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion…better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere…” Psalm 84:5;7;10a
One day in the presence of the Lord Almighty is truly better than any of the greatest of greats this world has to offer. God is the Creator of all things, so what greater joy and honor have we been given than to be in fellowship with the very One who created all things! Glory!
God’s design for our lives is to constantly move from glory to glory; one anointed season to the next. In every season, it IS God’s intention that we seek AND find Him– in His holy place, Zion. And as we gaze upon His beauty, what great satisfaction -- all else pales in comparison!
May we live out our days on this earth remembering our time on this earth is temporary. This is not home; our home is in heaven. So if you feel out of place or like you don't "fit" and/or are discontent with the things of this world, you should, because earth is not home. May God help us to be people whose hearts are always fixed heavenward and on pilgrimage (search/journey) towards home and the keeper of our home – Abba Daddy!
Prayer: Dear Father, Thank you for you have prepared a home for me. My home is where you are. Thank you for strengthening me as I journey and taking me from strength to strength, glory to glory for Your Great Glory. I love you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
