Word for Today: Attitude of Faith
“…According to your faith will it be done to you…” Matthew 9:29b
Give God something to work with – your attitude of faith and trust in His Sovereignty and Goodness. If you are trusting God for something or someone, give it to God and choose to maintain an attitude and position of faith as you proactively wait.
The longtime scheme of the enemy is to cause question, doubt and insecurity in us towards the sovereignty, faithfulness, goodness and love of God towards us. Kick the enemy out by demonstrating an attitude of trust in our God for surely He is faithful and tell the enemy that your God is good and FOR you.
If you are alive, He has been faithful to you. If you are able to inhale and exhale the breath of freedom, He has been good to you. If He has saved you from the pits of destruction, great is His love towards you. If you have desires and are able to see glimpses of His plans for your life, He is most Sovereign. If you have been made alive IN Christ through the blood and are called a child of the King Most High, surely He loves you!
Position yourself to receive and make room for God to move on your behalf by having an attitude of faith towards the Mountain Mover. And when He instructs, you quickly obey by faith and in faith. And in the process, be careful to guard yourself from those people and things that would serve as a faith killer and attitude stinkers and sinkers.
Prayer: Dear Father, I am reminded everyday that you are faithful, most faithful. Though I may not understand or fully know how things will work out, I choose to wait in trust on You. And when you show me the way, I will be quick to obey. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
