God said...
When was the last time you shared a praise report or something and started off with God said...or God taught me...
Or is the majority of what you have been sharing and speaking starts off something like this...this pastor or this person said...
Don't get me wrong. It is great and important for us to learn from one another. I believe we will all go through a season where we simply need to hear and receive the word of God through other servants but that should not be the majority. We need to have our own personal times with God and we need to hear from Him directly ourselves because we can.
If we are not careful and balance, we will begin to receive only from man, what God has taught through that man as oppose to us learning and receiving from God for ourselves first hand. We can find ourselves exalting man more than we should and not even realizing it.
The same power that was in that person that spoke a word to you is the same power in you and it is available to everyone who believes and seeks.
Yes, learn, receive, be encouraged from one another but do not let that be the only source and the strongest source of your teaching. It is to "supplement" and add to your existing personal time with God. Go to the Word of God and spend time with Him and there He will speak to you.
