distracted

During my sabbatical in July, God pressed upon my heart these words: the "battle" we wage with is not a clear battle such as "good and evil." That is too obvious the clear choice. The battle is between good and best.

Often times, good can be godly and spiritual things. But those "good" things can be distractions and take our eyes off of the ONE thing that God had set us out to do. We can quickly get caught up in doing alot of "good" things for God but miss entirely the God thing that He is calling us to help usher forth.

Prayer is our lifeline. He is our 911 to God. Prayer is what sets all things into motion - our spoken word, declaring by faith. Too often we (Christians and God' Church as a whole) I sense fall short of our Promise Land because we fall short in prayer. Let's be a people who pray. Earnestly and desperately crying out to God for the things He has burdened and tasked us with. God is searching for a people who will pray - standing in the gap for our nation, this generation, for the Church - the Bride of Christ and for Christ.

In the process of doing all of these great things for God, lets not get distracted and take our eyes off of Him. We want to make sure we are totally walking in His ways and to the sound of His heartbeat.
