Word for Today: Shield

“For you bless the godly, O Lord, surrounding them with your shield of love.” Psalm 5:12 (NLT)

Be not concerned at what you see and the things people do, God will bless the godly. Continue to live upright, with integrity and godly character and you will always be at peace.

Do not fret when evil goes unpunished or lawlessness runs rampant, God is just. Keep your eyes on Him and do what is right before God and men at all times. For in due season, your blessing will come. But even greater the blessing you have already received, a shield that surrounds you for God is your Shield and His love protects you. Surely there is no greater blessing!

Prayer: Dear Father, I choose to live right and to do right by you and you alone. You are my protector and my shield. Thank you Father. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
