turtle

i was sharing a story with my mom today and was reminded of a turtle, specifically a childhood story. the turtle was slow in the race but kept going. he kept his eye on the goal - the finish line and was not consumed or distracted at what was going on around him. other racers zoomed past him but he was not concerned, he had a quiet confidence and kept going forward. and soon enough, the turtle ended up winnng the race and making it right on time.

now i can't remember if the childhood story involved a turtle or a snail but God brought turtles to mind so i am keeping with it! :)

in our life, we may be that very turtle. whether it be spiritual, financial, relational or whatever, you may be slow in the coming but no fear, you'll get where you need to be right on time because God will get you there as long as you fix your eyes on Him. be not concerned about what is going on around you and how "fast" others may appear to be going, you keep your eyes fixed on the goal and keep going. and here is the best part, the "finish" line is awesome but nothing compares to the sweet victory of being given a kickbutt living testimony of the power and goodness of God. it was ALL God -- ALL God that got you there. Glory!
