Word for Today: From One to the Next
“We praise you, LORD, for all your glorious power. With music and singing we celebrate your mighty acts.” Psalm 21:13
As we close out one year and begin a new, may we be a people who are constantly celebrating and praising from one year into the new. However your 2009 may have looked or didn’t look, you still have reason to celebrate because you are still alive! You made it through another year and by His grace, He will allow you to see a new year.
Take a few moments today and simply begin to thank God for 2009 as we march into 2010 with a heart of thanksgiving and anticipation for great things. However your year looked for 2009, NOTHING is loss when God is involved. If you look back and there were more challenging times than not, again nothing is loss for His love carried you through and as a result, you have a deeper trust and intimate relationship with God than when you entered. Glory!
This New Year, let’s resolve to be a people who are constantly celebrating and full of joy because we are FULL of Him. Let’s be a people who continually praise God “from one to the next” day regardless of the circumstance for He is good and great is His love.
You are still alive! You made it out!! That is enough reason to celebrate 2009!
Prayer: Dear Father, you are great, so very great. I celebrate you for who you are and thankful for bringing me through another year –successfully for I am IN you. Bless you my Lord as you stand by me in 2010. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
