Servants

We need more servants. Many claim to be servants or to serve but watch carefully their life and how they respond when a serving opportunity arises that does not fit their "season" or gifting.

The last time I checked, Jesus was all things to all men and He served all. If we are to be followers of Jesus Christ and model after Him, where are all the servants?

I have heard it said once by a preacher, "you know you are a true servant when you get treated like one and you still joyfully serve." Where are the people who are willing to do the things others are not willing to do - the "lowly" and "unspiritual" things behind the scenes? If we are going to last in this race, we better be in it for the people - to serve and love the people.

Servants. Let's re-examine what it truly means and see if we are a true servant of Jesus Christ and to the Body of Christ. Christ on earth came to serve not to be served. It is evident in the lives of those who do and clearly in the lives of those who do not. Being a servant - it is more a matter and attitude of the heart and mind than an action.

Many claim to be servants and often times we find out they came to serve their own agenda or serve to "beef" up their own credentials. Serving out of the overflowing of Love. It's all for love, with love and in love. Period.
