Word for Today: Preparation (12/30)

"And the child grew and became strong in the spirit; and he lived in the desert until he appeared publicly to Israel" Luke 1:80

Continue with what God has placed before you so that you will grow and become strong in the spirit. Praise the Lord for this is all in preparation for what He has prepared for you!

God is reminding His people today to continue to seek Him and to keep pressing forward at what is in front of you regardless of how tedious, "un-rewarding," or boring the task may seem. Continue at what is before you whether you receive recognition or not, whether people notice your deeds and especially during moments when you "feel" as if what you are doing does not matter, count or even add up towards anything great with purpose. God is saying to you today, keep on and push through.

Dear friends, the reality is this. As we walk with God, there will be days when it seems as if we are not making progress and the cost to continue is not worth it. But brothers and sisters, God is telling us today to press on and not to become impatient during this preparation time because we are about to see what He has been preparing in us and for us during those "desert" like moments of our relationship with Him. Don't give up, look up!

God is a good God! He will bring us through a season of quietness and "desert" like conditions for this purpose, to draw us closer to Him. As we are drawn closer to Him, we become strong in the spirit by quieting ourselves before Him and trusting and relying on Him alone. Halleluiah!

Happy moments, Praise God
Difficult moments, Seek God
Quiet moments, Worship God
Painful moments, Trust God
Every moment, Thank God

Prayer: Dear Father, you are preparing me for what you have prepared for me. I thank-you for you are constantly at work in my life whether I can see it or not I choose to believe and trust in your timing and the work of your hands. May I continue to seek you in the secret place to the point where it overflows to all those around. Give me the grace to faithfully and diligently live out right where I am today. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
