Word for Today: Part
“Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” I Corinthians 15:58
We all play an intricate part in making up the Body of Christ. We were all created uniquely and differently which is the very essence and beauty of our Creative God. May God help us to embrace the beauty of the Body and in the same way we do not dare box God in, may we not box one another in our creative expression and love towards our Father. Dare to be different and dare to be you!
As we continue and march into 2009, may God help us to remember our part and role in building the Body of Christ and adding to the Church of Believers. We all have a vital part and role in living out the story of God’s redeeming love to a hurting world. Your part is significant and valuable. God’s challenge to His people today is to rise up, be counted for and counted on to faithfully live out our part in God’s grand story of “Restoring Paradise Lost” as told in the Garden of Eden.
As we witness and take part in God’s “glorious arrival,” remember you do have a part and most importantly, it is all about God and by His grace He allows us to be a part of what He has been preparing before we even desired to join Him.
Be encouraged today to creatively live out your part – it is a significant and important role that only YOU can fulfill.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for you have been at work before the foundations of earth and you grace me with the privilege of being a part of what you are doing. Help me to embrace and take on my part and role in the Kingdom of God and to serve with excellence right where you have me. I bless you knowing all things come from you for your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
