Word for Today: Jesus for President!
Today will go down in history regardless of how this presidential election turns out. Regardless of who is elected, God reminded me today of several things:
1. God is still God.
2. We hope and trust in God alone.
3. We are not bound or limited by who is placed in the White House – the Victory is already ours!
4. We are closer today than ever to the returning of Christ – end times.
5. Christ-followers must stand strong and firm in their faith and on the Word of God.
6. A great harvest is ready to be reaped.
My heart finds much peace in knowing and being reminded that our God is God. He is bigger and surely He is more powerful than any president or government official. God can work in any situation and His Will will be done despite whoever is elected.
This is Jesus’ prayer for us: “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” John 17:15
As believers, we must stand strong today more than ever. It is crucial and imperative that you cling to God and hold on to Him with everything that you are, like white on rice! Stay close to Him in the Word and flee and guard yourself from things and even people that would serve as a temptation for you to sin. We praise God for He has given us everything we need to stand strong – let’s tap into what He has given us and ask Him today to strengthen us during these last days.
No fear, it is an awesome time to be a Christ-follower because we have a great opportunity to witness and share the love of God to a hurting and desperate world. This is our time to shine, let your light shine!
