Word for Today: Count (11/19)

Count your blessings one by one and you will begin to see the goodness of God and truly how blessed you are!

If you ate a hot meal today, even if it was one meal, you are blessed. If you had clothes to wear today, or woke up in a place with a roof over your head and your parents still have a job, you are blessed. If you are reading this email right now, surely you are blessed. And if you are alive and have been saved by God's grace, you are most blessed! Count your blessings.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, may I urge you to focus on what truly counts and to stop and count your blessings. Let's not loose focus or get distracted with all the things that we want that we forget that there are people who have needs that some of us thank you God we will never have to face. This year, instead of seeking things for your own gain and to satisfy your own desires, seek to count your blessings and to be a blessing to someone who can really use an encouragement. Someone is counting on you to be the blessing.

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2

If you extend a hand this week towards someone in need, don't pity them, but count yourself blessed that God has allowed you to be in such a position to help someone out.
