Creative Marriage

Praise God for He is surely a God of provision and supplies for all of my needs. The dynamics of our marriage, our genetic makeup, our minstry - individual and shared and simply our passion for Christ & our burden for the Church, particulary this generation makes us very different & in turn, makes our schedule look very different. We pray and ask God to continually show us the balance of our passion, responsibilities and burdens for the Kingdom of God and making sure that in the process of it all, we do not loose our connection and passion for one another. I praise God for truly our marriage is most ignited and inflamed w/ a greater passion is when we are actully serving and doing ministry. We find ourselves getting away or having "date" night to focus on one another and find the conversation drifting towards the people we minister to and love and sharing about the dreams and visions God has given us for His kingdom. I do not think that is a necessarily a "bad" thing - we have just come to understand that our marriage makeup beats for Christ and His Church. I don't think people quite understand how our heart beats for the Kingdom of God and His people. Sometimes and often times we don't even understand why our heart beats passionately for the things that it does but at the end of the day, we would not change it for the world and understand this is our portion. Our heart beats for the Kingdom of God!

SOOO, we have been most excited about continually seeking opportunities and ways to get back into the simple things we enjoyed doing before life got busy. The truth is, life will always be busy we are simply seeking ways to balance and combine all of these different dynamics together. I am a black and white person, clear lines and division. So in the same regard, that is how I treated our marriage or thought we were suppose to. But God has been gracefully showing me that everything comes full circle and is intertwined w/ one another.

I received a timely email this morning about a creative marriage conference for couples in the minstry hosted by Pastor Ed Young. Ok we are NOT obessed with Pastor Ed but we find that his heart and approach is very in line with the way we think and the way God has designed us. I am excited. Kind of a pricey conference but God knows how many different purposes it will serve. It is worth it.

Roadtrip!! I miss those. We use to take so many. I look forward to this one. I pray it all works out.
