danger! danger! danger!
danger! danger! danger!
romance in the workplace...especially if you are married! AHHHH!! i cringe at the thought but the reality is this, it happens. affairs start off 'innocent' until it eventually evolves into something bigger than what both parties 'intended.'
a smile here, a compliment there and then they are off. all it takes is for a man to 'notice' a lady or perhaps appreciate & compliment her in a way she doesn't get at home & then the affair starts--in the heart. above all else, guard your heart.
the Lord prompted my heart today towards this matter as i have seen signs at my workplace regarding several co-workers. my spirit noticed long before, i just prayed. but more recently my eyes have noticed some 'red' flags. how easy for anyone to fall prey into temptation in a moment of weakness or 'need' but if you play with fire, you will get burn.
a few reminders:
1. guard your heart & ask God to guard your heart.
2. be full of Him that your heart would not 'need' to wander
3. no one is exempt from temptation/sin -- so don't even entertain the thought!
4. there is a way out. stop before it goes any further.
5. it never ends well.
i debated whether to post this entry. sometimes you have to talk about the 'big elephant' in the room. i pray this keeps someone from making a mistake.
i don't have to experience or know first hand the twisted ride of an affair or to be a child of a parent who committed adultery to know it hurts. i've seen too many people live out the consequences of their own actions to know i don't ever want to play with that mess.
