The E's!

Encourage, Equip, Engage and Empower

(an email this week to our leadership team here)

  • Let’s be leaders who are encouraging. Let’s be our peoples' best cheerleader! Let’s encourage our people towards their spiritual gift and be encouraging as they are getting their feet wet and trying new things.

  • Let’s be leaders who equip our people – through authentic worship, transparent lifestyles and relevant biblical messages. Let’s equip our people for godly and victorious Christian living and equip them for every good work, Christian service.

  • Let’s be leaders who are engaging and leaders who are intricately engaged in the lives of our people. Let’s not be typical “Friday/Sunday” leaders but those who are available and present outside the 4 walls of church.

  • Let’s be leaders who empower our people. Let’s create ministry opportunities to empower our people to serve God and thus helping to release them into their God destiny. Empowerment lends ownership. Ownnership lends growth and fruit!

And last but not last, EVERYTHING IS EXCITING!! :)

May God continue to help us in the days to come to be a ‘step ahead of the game’ in order to lead this generation. What God wants to do through us and with this generation begs much intercession and labor in our personal lives so that the manifestation of our personal devotion to God overflows into our public ministry.

I sense in my spirit it is time to empower the students, a little more. But to ensure effective and fruit bearing empowerment, accountability and commitment is required from us. To empower without order or structure = chaos and frustration. Praise God we have been building our structure. To curtail frustration, we will phase the students into ministry at the appropriate time under the encouraging leadership of a leader. J

Praise God for what He has done thus far and how far we have come! We are moving along and many things have taken shape and form. However, there is more molding and shaping to take place…Let’s continue to press into God – asking God to shape us, mold us, and stretch us to lead this generation. They deserve our best and surely God deserves no less.

So let’s keep going. There is more work to be done but I am SO excited and HE IS SO WORTH IT!!

I leave you with this verse:

Philippians 3:12-14: Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

We haven’t fully seen the prize yet – which is heavenward in Christ Jesus. So until we stand before Glory in Heaven, let’s keep running.

Running with YOU!
