Ichabod

ICHABOD = the glory of God has departed.

Some would and have argued that God has written "ICHABOD" over the forehead of America. What do you say?

When we read the news, watch Hollywood go down along with our moral standards and values, and even the rise and fall of our own fellow brethren, what is your conclusion? Are we all walking around with "ichabod" etched on our forehead?

Perhaps this is not a question for us to answer/speculate but rather, may it bring us to the stark reality that we all need to continue to run our race. We fix our eyes on Christ and run our race. Whether the glory of God has departed America or not, I know this: His glory has NOT departed from his beloved children, his own. Take courage. He is with us.

No doubt sin and evil is rampant. No question. But we continue to run our race with great intention and passion. This is not the time to "hunker" down and play safe Christian. This is not the time to be comfortable. We live in both the spiritual world and physical world. The battle rages. Let's do our part.

We follow him. We preach the Gospel of repentance and reconciliation. We trust in Him.
