communion

"When he was at the table with them, he took the bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him..." Luke 24:30-31a

In true communion and fellowship, we recognize the Father.

What would our lives look like if we were in true communion & fellowship with one another? With the Father? What would happen if we actually made church all about God? If we had bible study and actually included God? What would happen if there were a group of people who desired true communion & fellowship and actually sought to live if out? What would happen if we sincerely cared for people?

....our eyes would be open and we would recognize him...

How interesting God would lead me to the scriptures above after having just discussed in Sunday School this past week scriptures that talk about "reflecting God's love through giving ministry to others."

In true fellowship, we are to:

1. carry each others burden (Gal. 6:2)

2. be kind, compassionate, forgiving (Eph. 4:32)

3. encourage, build one another (I Thess. 5:11)

4. confess & pray for one another (James 5:16)

5. serve one another in love (Gal. 5:13)

6. live in harmony (Rom. 12:16)

7. teach & admonish (Col. 3:16)

8. be devoted, honor one another (Rom. 12:10)

Are you in true fellowship as God intended or do you make up your own fellowship rules and slap the God label? Taking inventory of my life.
