Word for Today: Don't Snooze!
DON'T SNOOZE - that's right because you just might miss out on what GOD is doing. That's right, what GOD is doing. He has been at work even before the creation of time and you and me! Don't forget that. He is the Alpha and Omega - Beginning and End. We get the awesome priviledge and honor to take part of what HE is doing. Give God all the glory and praise due HIS name.
God is at work EVERWHERE - just wake up and see what He is doing and join in. If you have ever wanted to be a part of something greater than yourself, God is setting up so many opportunities and situations right now if we would only open our eyes. It is a great time to be alive - alive in Christ if only we would wake up and smell the God-Things!
I think of two situations we can "snooze..."
1. Snooze - catching some zzzzzz...that's right. Sleeping away. You don't want to be caught sleeping and drooling.
Spiritual Application: Don't miss out on what God is doing and wants to do through you b/c you were sleeping - spiritually. Don't feed the flesh, feed your spirit.
2. Snooze - that button on your alarm clock that gives you a couple "extra" minutes. Come on now, you know snoozing doesn't work. It makes you more tired, late, and frustrated b/c it is a sleep teaser! You know you are half awake when you snooze b/c you know exactly when the alarm clock is going to go off again. Don't fight the inevitable, just get up and get going! :)
Spiritual Application: Don't delay the very thing God wants you to do. Step up and out! Do not allow the enemy to creep fear, doubt, worry, your past, laziness, etc. into your life that would cause you to be half "awake" and half "asleep;" alive but not "living" - fully. Get up and get moving and begin to live the live God has purchased for you.
Consider this a wake-up call from Our God. I believe this is a word from God today. Don't snooze away and miss what you were MADE to do!
