devastation

Devastation is real. There are hurting people. This is such a great time for the Church to shine, to rise and to stand and be counted!

Hurricane Ike has come and passed but we are still experiencing the affects and ramification of that storm today. It is one thing to watch the coverage on TV but it is a whole 'nother level when you actually witness and live it. There are no words to express the devastation, hurt, frustration, and pain that comes about from destruction. Truly love and compassion is what people need. Even greater, people need hope - they need to know that this is not the end.

Over the past few days my heart is convinced even more passionately of how there are so many in need of Christ, the hope of all nations. Church, this is our time to shine. This is our time to speak of the Hope of Jesus Christ. Speak up.

I know for me during this time God has continued to press upon my heart the things I am passionate about. Often times opportunities of compassion helps to bring out our passions.

Nothing but good will come about. Nothing but good. This is an advancement for the Kingdom of God! God didn't cause it but surely He will use all things to unite His Church and to bring His purposes to the forefront of the minds of His followers. Praise the Lord!
