This is an exerpt out of an article of Joyce Meyer's Minstry magazine written by Pastor Paul Scanion titled, "If God Doesn't Have Your Thinking, He Doesn't Have You." Great article. I can make anyone a copy if they would like to read it in it's entirity.
"...a prayer line of repenting believers is worthless if the cause of their sin is a lie that goes undetected and unchanged. The devil has never been threatened by Christians lining up for deliverance to be freed from the grip of sin and prayer when he knows they haven't spotted the contamination in the reservoir. It's like putting a Band-Aid on a terminal illness... Life is a proces, not an event. While an event can be powerful, it can only be as lasting as the process by which it happens... Freedom is a process, a journey, and it moves at the speed of applied truth, not applied hands...some of you reading this article have received the laying on of hands more times than you can count and are no freer in your daily life as a result. Jesus taught that you shall know the Truth and the Truth you come to know will set you free."
