Winter Jam 2012: February 4, 2012
We stood in the rain waiting to get inside. My first Winter Jam. Great lineup of artists. It was worth it. Fun times.
Finally inside. But more lines. At least we were out of the rain.
Some of the kiddies. It was their first Winter Jam but second concert. First concert was Hillsong United!
20,000 people showed up!! Crazy.
We showed up 2 hours earlier before the doors opened. The only seats left were behind the stage!! Who would have knew?!? But thankfully, the view was still great.
We were definitely still close enough to the stage cause we all felt the heat from the fire from Skillet's performance! Literally. They had shooting fire. Lights. Lifts in the air. That was one wild performance. Couldn't really hear the words but it was most definitely entertaining to watch. We got a good laugh too. They did this surprise explosion sound. It startled all of us. But my poor nephew was eating Dippin' Dots and his spoon flew out of his hand. And that was the end of Dippin' Dots.
But of course, Skillet was still all of their favorite performance. Mine, Sanctus Real and Kari Jobe. :)
